CATEGORY MANAGER ELECTRONICS / EINKÄUFER / (m/f)

Your Responsibilities:
Responsible to manage and make critical decisions on all aspects of supplier relationship including contracts, commercial/pricing, supply assurance and conflict resolution.
Develop and execute sub-category strategies through alignment with Harman International global category lead, business units, engineering, quality, manufacturing activities.
Coordination of engagement between procurement, supply chain functions and senior stake holders within the Infotainment BU. This person will be an escalation/communication point for Harman International and the supply partner.
Identification, establishment and development of new suppliers, supplier relationship management, supplier portfolio management and supplier performance evaluation.
Planning, coordination, execution and documentation of negotiations & annual global price negotiations.
Identification, implementation and documentation of cost reduction potential.
Establish goals, improvement plans, business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility.
Timely coordination of procurement processes to ensure supply, cost and quality.
Change Management and SAP master data maintenance.
Observation of global procurement markets.

Your Skills & Requirements:
College degree in Engineering or Business/Economy
5 years of relevant working experience preferably in the areas of either procurement, engineering, quality, or product development
2 years experience in procurement of electronic components
High level of commitment, strong self-motivation and goal orientation. Ability to work independently
Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
Strong communication & presentation skills; assertiveness
Willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change; show resilience in the face of constraints, adversity; demonstrate flexibility.
Experience in international working environment / with multicultural teams; Effective team player committed to organizational goals
In-depth product knowledge in electronics is desired
Fluent English & German skills
Good knowledge of SAP R/3 and MS Office
Willingness to travel internationally - 10-25%

Preferred Requirements:
1-2 years technical role
International experience working in a global company
